This exhibition shows the latest works of Mariam Sofrina, a Bandung based painter. Her landscape paintings always show certain mood and strong impression. Apparently these come from her exploration in possibilities of landscape painting as a way to express her thoughts and feeling towards the worlds.

The tittle of the exhibition emphasize the connection between the outer world with the inner world. Landscape will never only be a subject matter of any works or discourse since it is actually the space in which we live in. It is simply too big and it continuously changes. For Mariam, there is an archetypal model that drives her in seeing the scenes. Hence, when she choose certain scene for her painting, the two worlds meet. The creating process of the paintings then transforms into a process of dialogue, between the outer uncontrolled world with the inner desirable world.
