The Tattooed man, named Tommy Tanggara was born in Jakarta, July 6 1969. His last degree is Visual Art and Design Faculty, Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Yogyakarta. He lives in Bantul Yogyakarta.
In Tommy’s life history, he comes from an obedient Christian family. Since he was in Secondary Art School (SMSR), as a single child, he turned out to be liberalist and ndhugal (bad boy), “far from the intimacy of religious road”. When he was in elementary and junior high School, he was closed to church activities. He then started thinking again about the maturity of religiosity in the moment of tsunami in Aceh happened.
Several moments of painting exhibitions have been done by him, both collective and solo ones.
